JASDF Komaki airshow

JASDF Komaki is on the opposite side of the Nagoya International Airport terminal and shares the same runway.
The Nagoya airport is a very busy airport with only 1 major runway, meaning the airshow flight display can only be a simple fly-by pass in between civilian aircraft flights.
If you like photographing civilian jet liners as well as military aircraft, you will enjoy the Komaki/Nagoya although I would advice to leave the base by noon and move to terminal side to have sun over your shoulder.

If you are interested in visiting this airshow or any other Japanese Airshow featured in this site, please refer to the page "Guide to Visiting Airshows in Japan"

IL-76
Maybe it is more fun watching civilian aircraft than the airshow.
After all, this Il-76 RA-76401 of HeavyLift is equivalent to a military freighter !
