The great Reno Balloon Race

I went to the Great Reno Balloon Race held near downtown Reno on Sept. 8, 2001.
The glow show and mass ascension provided me great photo opportunities.
I was planning to go back to Reno only a week later for the arirace but it was cancelled due to the attack on Sept 11.

	Balloons depart for dawn patrol.
	You can walk around just about anywhere and see the balloons being prepared for takeoff up close.
	Did Giant Panda take a ride in the Noah's ark?
	Goldfish... I suppose.
	Colorful balloons rise into blue sky.

	Its a bird, Its a plane, no its a... Cow?
	You don't have much chance of seeing a balloon from straight below.
