I visited the Department of Defense Joint Airshow in 1998. Not only the Air Force airshow but there were display of Navy boat and Army AFVs. The performers, as well as spectators, seemed very different from the West coast.

Although the 89th Airlift Wing's Air Force One SAM28000 was not seen at the show, former air force one and two, SAM26000 (VC-137C 62-6000) had its door open to the public for a tour inside the plane, prior to being removed from Air Force inventory and moved to USAF Museum in Dayton, OH.
