Gifu air base is home to experimental flight squadron where JASDF aircraft and equipment are being tested. As the squadron has major types of aircraft including F-1, F-2, F-4, F-15, T-2, T-3 and T-4 you will be able to see the mix aircraft formation in flight as well as prototype and experimental aircraft/equipment on static display. Sometimes a very rare F-15 and T-3 (modified T-34 Mentor) formation can also be seen. If you live in Nagoya area or have plans to visit Nagoya area in Japan, the trip to Gifu airshow will be an interesting attraction.
