JASDF Tsuiki airshow

I went to the Tsuiki airshow in Nov. 1996.
Under beautiful skies, F-1 and F-15 based locally performed a very attractive show.
However, in the afternoon, clouds came in which made the photography not so excellent, although still all flying demo including Blue Impulse went on as scheduled.

F-1 Formation Takeoff

Mitsubishi F-1 70-8238, 70-8227 of 6TFS take off for a simulated ground attack.

F-1 70-8201 of 6TFS demonstrates low altitude ground attack.
F-1s are now retiring and will eventually be replaced by the F-2.
F-1 Break Formation

F-1s break away in preparation for landing.
F-16 visited by Navy F-14 Aviators
U.S. Navy F-14 pilot and NFO who flew into the base for static display checks out the most modern F-16 fighter cockpit.
This F-16C from 35FW is stationed in Korea and performed flight demonstration afther this shot was taken.
F/A-18 taxi
USMC VMFA-212 flew in 2x F/A-18 for static display.
When the show is over, they head for MCAS Iwakuni, their homebase.
