NAS Whidbey Island airshow

NAS Whidbey Island lies among the beautiful islands of Oak harbor.
The area receives lots of rainfall throughout the year. Summer is considered to be the most dry season but still there is a risk of encountering rain if you are visiting this airshow.
However, if the weather is fine, you will be able to enjoy the exciting shows with beautiful ocean and forest in the background.
I visited Whidbey Island airshow in July 1997.
Both Saturday and Sunday was nice and sunny, with great demos like EA-6, SH-60, F-117 and the Thunderbirds.

Golden Knights' parachute jump platform, Fokker C-31A (military version of F27) Friendship, 85-1608, makes a pass at the end of parachute performance.

Under clear blue sky, USAF Thunderbirds performed during the 1997 season.
